Evan A. Peters is a seasoned healthcare executive and transformational leader with more than a decade of experience driving cost management, provider network strategy, and value-based care transformation across multibillion-dollar healthcare portfolios.
As Executive Vice President of Cost Management, Evan leads enterprise-wide initiatives focused on affordability, sustainable growth, and competitive market positioning while maintaining high standards of quality and access.
Throughout his career, Evan has built and led high-performing teams responsible for complex provider contracting, reimbursement strategy, and network optimization across Commercial, ACA, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid Managed Care programs. He is recognized for his ability to restructure large-scale provider agreements, delivering significant cost reductions while strengthening provider partnerships and advancing innovative care delivery models.
Prior to his current role, Evan held senior leadership positions with nationally recognized healthcare organizations including Gravie, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, CIGNA, Coventry Health Plan, and Aetna. His experience spans multi-state network operations, management of annual provider spend exceeding $6 billion, and the successful transition from fee-for-service to gain-share and risk-sharing reimbursement models. Notably, his leadership has resulted in double-digit cost savings, expanded Medicare Advantage and ACA market presence, and industry-leading penetration of value-based reimbursement arrangements.
Evan is a collaborative, data-driven executive known for aligning financial performance with mission-driven outcomes. His leadership philosophy centers on empowering teams, leveraging analytics to inform strategy, and improving affordability and access to care for the populations served.
He holds an MBA in Health Services Administration from Avila University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas, and is a Certified ScrumMaster. Evan is a Fellow of the Academy of Healthcare Management and actively serves on the board of the Midwest Health Initiative.
