When will the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO Network be available with MotivHealth?
Eligible employees will begin having access to the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO on January 1st, 2021.
Who is eligible to participate with the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO Network?
Employers with 20 or more out of state subscribers are eligible to offer the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO Network.
What network will be available to out of state employees should an employer not have 20 or more out of state enrolled subscribers?
Employers that have fewer than the 20 out of state subscribers will continue to access out of state benefits via the First Health Network.
What if my employer qualifies for the Cigna PPO Network, but loses enrollment placing our group under the 20-subscriber limit?
Employers that have already met the 20-subscriber threshold will not be asked to re-validate their eligibility from year to year.
For employers that failed to meet the 20-subscriber minimum, will they be allowed to re-qualify for the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO Network in the future?
Yes. All employers will be reassessed to determine their eligibility for the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO at renewal. For groups that have already qualified, this reevaluation processed will not be required (see above).
Will Cigna be willing to make an exception to the 20-subscriber threshold for an employer that would like to offer the Cigna- Choice Fund PPO?
No. MotivHealth has been advised that Cigna will not make an exception to their 20 out of state subscriber minimum.
What will be the out of state network for MotivHealth members that reside within the state of Utah?
Utah based MotivHealth members will continue to utilize the FirstHealth Network when seeking medical services outside of Utah.
What network will out of state Cigna members utilize should they receive medical services within the state of Utah?
Cigna eligible members receiving medical services within the state of Utah would need to receive services from Cigna providers.
Will eligible out of state employees be given new medical ID cards as a result of this network change?
Yes. All eligible employees will receive MotivHealth/Cigna medical ID cards. Eligible employees should expect to receive their new medical ID cards in the coming weeks.
Will Cigna members still have access to MotivHealth’s Steps, Prompt Pay, and Prescription Assistance programs?
Yes. All members of MotivHealth, regardless of network, will continue to have access to our incentive programs. With that said, members outside of Utah can expect to have fewer Prompt Pay options due to timing, access, and Cigna’s pre-authorization process.
Where can eligible members utilizing the Cigna – Choice Fund PPO find in-network providers?
Eligible members seeking to find in-network Cigna providers will need to visit mycigna.com and perform a provider search. Members will need to create a Cigna account in order to access the provider directory.
Will eligible Cigna members be able to call a MotivHealth Personal Health Assistant when seeking assistance with benefit, provider, and eligibility questions?
Yes. All MotivHealth members, regardless of network, will be able to access our 24/7, 365 customer support team. Should Cigna’s customer support team be required, our team will provide a warm transfer to ensure a seamless user experience.
What network will out of state dependents be eligible for if the policy holder lives in Utah?
Because eligibility is based on the zip code of the policy holder, dependents would need to access benefits, via the First Health Network.
How can I find care through the Cigna PPO Network without an account?
Since you will not be able to create your personal Cigna account until after your effective date, you’ll want to visit Cigna.com in order to find in-network providers and facilities in your area. Once on the Cigna.com landing page, you’ll want to click on “Find a Doctor, Dentist or Facility” to begin your search. Thereafter, you’ll be asked a few simple questions before being able to identify in-network providers. When prompted, please remember to indicate your status as a guest and to select PPO, Choice Fund PPO as your “plan” to ensure the right in-network providers are displayed.
